What is Sports????

Sports have a documented history dating back at least 3,000 years. Sports, in the beginning, were often used to train for war or as a hunter, which explains why so many early games involved the throwing of spears, stakes, and rocks, as well as one-on-one sparring with opponents.

The Ancient Greeks introduced formal sports to the world with the first Olympic Games in 776 BC, which included events such as foot and chariot races, wrestling, jumping, and discus and javelin throwing. 21st Century Gaming

The concept of online gaming is old almost as old as the internet itself and much has already been written about the first Multi-User Dungeons and virtual worlds. However, online console gaming is a relatively new phenomenon, and the ramifications of that transition have only recently been apparent. The Dreamcast was once again the first in this regard, as it came with its own 56k modem and every major home console afterward has followed suit.

Games set during the Cold War, futuristic planets, and outer space have all appeared in the series. Infinity Ward was the first to work on the games, followed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games. Other developers created a number of spin-offs and handheld games. Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest recent installment, was published on November 5, 2021.
